Delete your account
Two ways. Both remove everything.
Your family's records belong to you, so leaving should not require anybody's permission or a conversation with support.
From inside the app
Fastest, and it takes effect immediately. Open KinCircle, tap Account at the top of the conversation, and choose Delete everything. You can export a copy first from the same screen.
You can also simply type “delete my account” into the conversation. It asks you to confirm before doing anything.
From here, without the app
If you have uninstalled it, or cannot sign in, put the address you signed up with below. We will email that address a link to confirm — which is the only way to be sure the request is coming from you and not from somebody who knows your email.
What actually happens
- Everything goes: the people you added, every date, every photograph, every wish and card, the whole conversation, and the account itself.
- After seven days. The delay is deliberate — it is the difference between changing your mind and losing your grandmother's birthday permanently. During those seven days you can cancel by signing in and saying so.
- Then it is gone. Not flagged as deleted and kept — actually removed, including from the encrypted photo storage. Backups age out on their own short rotation shortly after.
If other people share your family, deleting your own account removes you and your access. A family somebody else also belongs to is not destroyed by one member leaving — but if you are the only member, everything in it goes with you.
